My Practice
I am a general adult psychiatrist working currently in a telehealth setting. I work from an office in Newcastle.
I have been a practicing member of the Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists for the past 28 years.
I moved to Newcastle two years ago from the Mid North Coast of NSW.
Areas of Interest
I have a broad range of experience in treating mental disorders in adult psychiatry.
My areas of interest include Mood Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Past Experience
Private Practice Experience
I had over 15 years experience working in two large private psychiatric practices in North Sydney. During this period I had admitting rights to Northside Clinic in the general psychiatry unit as well as working as a consultant on the mood disorders unit for two years.
Over the past 13 years I have been working as a sole practitioner in private practice in addition to working part time for 9 years in regional public hospital inpatient and outpatient settings.
My practice has been over Telehealth for the past 3 years.
Public Sector Experience
I have spent more than 10 years working as a psychiatrist in a variety of adult acute inpatient and outpatient settings in both major metropolitan and rural settings. I have not been working in the public sector for the past four years.
